Transcription Rates

The choice is yours. Would you like to pay by the hour or per audio minute (pam)?

  • Non urgent hourly rate $35
  • Urgent hourly rate $tba - please contact us for a quote
  • Per audio minute rates start at $1.90 pam. The rate will depend on a number of different factors including:
    • quality of the audio
    • how many speakers there are
    • if you require it transcribed verbatim or semi-verbatim; and
    • how quickly you'd like the work completed.

Please contact us with your requirements so that we can work out the best rate for you.

Please note that 1 hour of audio can take between 3 to 8 hours depending on the above factors. Please consider this when deciding how you'd like to be charged.

Transcription software

We use Express Scribe to play back your digital dictations. Express Scribe has the capability to play most audio file formats including video files. If your audio format is not compatible we have software to convert it to a more common file type.

If you're new to digital transcription then we'd be more than happy to assist you with the changeover from analogue to digital. We'll find you a digital recorder and dictation software suitable for your needs and budget.
